During demolition, opening the existing ceiling revealed an opportunity to remove unnecessary framing and raise the ceiling height.

The new rear addition was framed and tied into the existing structure to create more usable interior space.

The bathroom walls were opened and new water lines and a shower valve were installed for the future walk-in shower.

During construction, the original solid stair wall was opened and a new railing side was built to match the existing staircase.

After: A fully rebuilt kitchen with an open layout, custom green cabinetry, patterned tile flooring, and a large central island.

The widened opening connects the kitchen to the adjoining living space and brings the entire main floor together.

A closer view of the new island, custom cabinetry, statement lighting, and restored natural light.

After: The redesigned bathroom combines a new vanity, modern fixtures, and a spacious walk-in shower.

The completed walk-in shower features large-format wall tile, a glass enclosure, and coordinated floor tile.

After: The finished open-plan living and kitchen area shows how the new layout improves light, circulation, and connection between rooms.

The completed staircase and new open railing preserve the original character while visually connecting the dining and living areas.
